In Srimad-Bhagavatam (4.29.49), it is written:
sa vidya tan-matir yaya
A truly educated man rises to Krishna Consciousness.
Transcendental knowledge, by which consciousness is absorbed into Krishna’s lotus feet, is the original or real vidya, which cuts the bonds of avidya. Krishna’s holy name is the life of that wife, the Vidya, who focuses her mind on Krishna’s lotus feet. Chanting the holy name increases the ocean of happiness. This is highlighted in Srimad-Bhagavatam (8.3.20):
ekantino yasya na kancanartham
vanchanti ye vai bhagavat-prapannah
aty-adbhutam tac-caritam sumangalam
gayanta ananda-samudra-magnah
Pure devotees who have no other desires than to serve the Lord worship Him with total surrender, always chant and listen to His wonderful activities which are auspicious. Therefore, they are always immersed in the ocean of transcendental bliss. These devotees never ask the Lord for any blessings.
