A Consideration of Impediments in Bhajana
Bhajane pratibandhaka vicara
Observing one’s perfect ekadasa-bhava, one should meditate on one’s bhava with sincere determination.
Engaged in this smarana, there is an important consideration: one should always meditate on what is most suitable.
If one performs smarana on things that are not suitable, perfection will never be achieved even if one practices for many yugas.
The stage of Apana-dasa
Apana-dasa
As one rigorously engages in one’s sadhana and smarana practice, one will reach the purest stage of apana-dasa.
By constantly meditating on one’s pure bhava, the worldly conceptions that bind one to Maya will soon go far away.
The conditioned Jiva eventually reaches Bhava
Baddha-jiva ye krame bhava prapta hana
The Jiva who is tied to matter forgets his state of perfection. Mentally identifying with matter, he becomes absorbed in the material body.
At this stage, if one listens to Krishna-lila, the desire to attain the abundance of one’s perfect state emerges.
Therefore, one constantly meditates on one’s bhava-tattva[1], and so as that bhava increases, the wrong ideas vanish.
