The difference in the conduct and tendencies of a devotee and a Mayavadi
Bhakta o mayavadira acara o pravrtti bheda
A Mahajana takes exclusive refuge in the Holy Name. He worships Krishna as the one Supreme Controller and rejects anyone else.
He does not criticize other Devas and other Sastras. He venerates them and considers them servants of Krishna.
Every day a devoted householder offers the remains[1] to please the Devas, Pitris and all other Jivas.
Whenever he sees other Devas, he considers them to be servants of Krishna and offers them respect.
If a mayavadi performs Vishnu worship out of fear, the devotees will not accept their prasada[2].
The Mayavadis are offenders of Hari-nama. Whatever worship they offer is not accepted by Hari.
Accepting the remains of other Devas is an offense. In the practice of suddha-bhakti such remnants are not to be accepted.
However, if a pure devotee worships Lord Krishna, he can also worship other Devas and then offer them the prasada that was offered to Krishna.
Accepting that offering of prasada is not an offense. When the worship of Devas is done in this way, it is not an obstacle to bhakti.
A pure devotee never offends the Name. He chants the Holy Name, gets prema, and the Name grants him success.
The remedy for this offense
Ei aparadhera pratikara
However, if out of foolishness one thinks that Vishnu is equal to others then, repenting, he should meditate on Vishnu-tattva.
By remembering Lord Vishnu, one’s offense will be removed. Then he will have to be careful not to repeat the mistake.
Krishna is an ocean of forgiveness and an ocean of mercy. He is the friend of devotees and will forgive previous mistakes.
Abandoning the company of those who worship many Devas, a Vaishnava worships the one Supreme Controller.

“The offense of considering the Devas as independent”.
