Invocacion
First of all, I offer obeisances to the lotus feet of my spiritual master, to all the devotees and to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who descended into this world together with Sri Nityananda Prabhu.
I offer obeisances to the divine lotus feet of Sri Nanda-nandana and Srimati Radharani. They are surrounded by the gopis and steal the hearts of all the residents of Vrindavana.
Introduction
I[1] have gathered all the well-known information about the associates of Sri Krishna and Srimati Radhika, the King and Queen of Vrindavana, that is available in the area of Mathura, in histories told by general people from generation to generation, in various scriptures such as the Puranas and Agama-sastras, and in the knowledge gathered by the devotees currently in the assemblies of the sadhus.
Based on this information, I will systematically and concisely describe the different groups of the eternally perfected residents of Vraja, as is favourable for the path of raga.
I am doing this for the pleasure of my well-wisher (Sri Sanatana Gosvami).
May all the readers develop an attachment for Srimati Radharani, Sri Krishna and Their associates through this description (entitled Sri Sri Radha Krishna Ganoddesa Dipika[2]).
[1] The author, Srila Rupa Gosvami Prabhupada. Someone attribuites the writing of Radha Krishna Ganoddesa Dipika to Sri Kavi Karnapura
[2] Sri Sri Radha Krishna Ganoddesa Dipika means a small lamp for the purpose of illuminating the associates of Sri Sri Radha Krishna.
