“I adore, through the sacrifice of chanting the holy name in congregation, the deliverer of the fallen souls of the Kali-yuga, Sri Gaurangadeva, the One who constantly chants the name of Krishna. Although not dark-skinned, He is Krishna himself. He is in the company of His anga (body members in the form of Nityananda and Advaita Prabhu), the upangas (parts of limbs such as Srivasa Pandita), the astra (the weapon in the form of the holy name) and parsada (associates such as Svarupa Damodara, Raya Ramananda, Gadadhara and Govinda).
When will Sacimata’s son appear in the light of my eyes? He accepted the Gaudiya Vaisnavas, who are bees at his lotus feet, as His close associates. He instructed them, like a father, to chant a set number of rounds of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. The Supreme and Absolute Truth, Sri Hari, manifested His golden form in Navadvipa to liberate the living entities of Kali-yuga. He distributed, along with his associates, the treasure of God’s love by introducing chanting of the holy names of the Lord – the religious practice for the age of Kali. Congregational chanting of the Lord’s holy names is the eternal activity of living entities. All other activities are designed to help us achieve the perfection of chanting the holy names.
