In Caitanya-bhagavata it is written:
hare krsna hare krsna
krsna krsna hare hare
hare rama hare rama
rama rama hare hare
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu said:
Everyone chant this maha-mantra which I have given you, keeping the exact count. Everyone, with this chanting, will attain all perfection. There are no other rules or regulations, except to chant constantly.
