The level of bhava is gradually attainable with Krishna’s mercy and regular chanting of the holy names practiced without offense. In Srimad Bhagavatam (1.2.17-19) it is written:
srnvatam sva-kathah krishnah
punya-sravana-kirtanah
hrdy antah stho hy abhadrani
vidhunoti suhrt satam
nasta-prayesv abhadresu
nityam bhagavata-sevaya
bhagavaty uttama-sloke
bhaktir bhavati naisthiki
tada rajas-tamo-bhavah
kama-lobhadayas ca ye
ceta etair anaviddham
sthitam sattve prasidati
Sri Krishna, the Supreme Lord, who is the Paramatma [Supreme Soul] in the heart of every being and the benefactor of the sincere devotee, takes away any material desire from the heart of the devotee who has developed the keen desire to hear His message, which is filled with virtue when it is properly transmitted and received.
